OVERVIEW
GENERAL STATEMENT (Summary of Duties and Responsibilities):
The Recruiter is responsible for recruiting top talent into the organization through traditional and innovative recruiting channels. This position will be expected to proactively market Southwest Transplant Alliance as an employer of choice and seek passive and active candidates for open positions.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelors degree.
2. Minimum 5-8 years recruiting experience required. 3 years in a Healthcare environment or organ procurement organization experience required.
3. Demonstrated experience sourcing applicants through social media, campus recruitment, and national associations. Critical thinking skill are required.
4. Knowledgeable of federal and state employment laws.
5. Experience with applicant tracking software. Experience with Kronos a plus.
6. Proficient in MS office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
7. Must demonstrate highly effective analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.
8. Excellent communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and to represent the organization publicly.
9. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
10. Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload.
11. Ability to travel in light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto in order to meet all job duties and responsibilities. Current Driver’s license required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Monitors and manages Employee Requisitions.
2. Maintains and understands recruitment metrics including, but not limited to, cycle time to fill a position, offer acceptance rates, and vacancy management. Can analyze metrics for process improvement.
3. Collaborates with the Director of Human Resources to create consistent branding for recruitment.
4. Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs. Develops and maintains positive and supportive relationships with hiring leadership to ensure staffing initiatives are met.
5. Evaluates applicants on their ability to perform the essential functions of a role by assessing their skills, qualifications, and education.
6. Responds to job applicants in a reasonable amount of time, regarding current employment opportunities, fostering relationships with talent to ensure a positive candidate experience with STA.
7. Screens resumes/applications, conducts applicant phone screenings (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings.
8. Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates. Develops recruitment pipelines for market driven positions.
9. Develops job postings (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
10. Manages the Employee Referrals.
11. Processes relocation reimbursements for new hires.
12. Manages internal transfer process, including screening, and coordination of interviews with hiring manager.
13. Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
14. Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (i.e. benefits, compensation, orientation).
15. Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state employment laws.
16. Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system/Kronos. Ensures data is complete and accurate.
17. Adheres to HR policy and procedures and ensures consistency of practice.
18. Collaborates and supports the HR team. Demonstrates teamwork.
19. Performs other duties as assigned
