Community Engagement Internship
JOB DESCRIPTION
Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA) is seeking a talented and organized individual to support events and programs of the community engagement and foundation relations team. This position will be responsible for assisting with a variety of project-based work to help achieve department goals, execute events, communicate with stakeholders, and support community outreach initiatives to advance STA’s lifesaving and healing mission.
Main Responsibilities:
· Event planning support for STA’s annual events including sporting clay tournament, 5k race, and golf tournament.
· Assist with content creation and design for various mediums including newsletters, social media graphics, and event materials.
· Support foundation staff with administration of the Family Support Grants Program and acknowledgement of contributions.
· Prepare presentations, event, and marketing materials for community education initiatives in Dallas and throughout STA’s regional service areas.
Other responsibilities include oversight of the CRM system and volunteer database. Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva preferred.
The Community Engagement Intern will report to the Director of Community Engagement and Foundation Relations.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Hours: 20 hours a week between the hours of 9 – 5, Monday – Thursday.
$15 an hour
Reliable transportation necessary.
