Resource Triage Coordinator
OVERVIEW
The Resource Triage Coordinator is responsible for screening potential organ donors with referral facilities, staffing for current and potential donation opportunities and coordinating logistics involved with the donation process. This position is responsible for enhancing the mission of STA by triaging organ referrals so the appropriate STA staff can be dispatched to facilitate the donation process. This position will also be responsible for monitoring active referrals for potential donation opportunities and coordinating with Operations leadership to ensure the appropriate staff are dispatched in a timeframe that provides an option for donation.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED
1. Associates degree in Nursing or biological science or related experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licensed as a registered nurse, respiratory therapist, paramedic, or applicable experience and related training preferred
2. Minimum one year of critical care experience
3. Must obtain ACLS certification within one year of employment
4. CPTC certification preferred and minimum of 2 years of OPO experience in a clinical role
5. Excellent communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and to represent the organization publicly.
6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
7. Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload.
8. Ability to travel in light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto in order to meet all job duties and responsibilities. Current Driver’s license required.
