Tissue Recovery Technician (PRN)
OVERVIEW
The Tissue Recovery Technician is responsible for using aseptic technique to assist and/or to perform the recovery of postmortem human tissue including bone, connective tissue, skin, heart for heart valves, and/or veins to ensure safe grafts for transplantation. Tissue recovered may be for the purpose of transplant, research, and education.

Individuals with relevant Aseptic Technique experience and Human Anatomy knowledge
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Associates degree in a life science, certification in surgical technology/medical/paramedical professional is preferred to perform all technical functions of the position / equivalent workrelated experience.
Knowledge of aseptic technique, Human Anatomy and Physiology; disease processes, surgical instrumentation and maintenance.
Self-motivated and possess the ability to meet the requirements of a demanding call schedule required.
Excellent oral, written and documentation skills. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and to represent the organization publicly.
Ability to work both independently, in a team environment.
Ability to cope with high levels of stress and handle a heavy workload.
