Quality & Compliance Auditor II

OVERVIEW

The incumbent is primarily responsible for conducting quality checks of both Organ and Tissue Electronic

Donor Records to assess compliance with STA’s policies and procedures, government guidelines and

laws

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Associates degree in health sciences or equivalent work experience required. Three years of experience in a medical records or quality assurance role preferred.

2. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records/ procedures required.

3. Knowledge of organ and tissue procurement and/or transplantation preferred.

4. Experience with Q-Pulse and iTransplant preferred.

5. Exceptional attention to detail.

6. Must demonstrate effective analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.

7. Excellent communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, internal, and external customers

8. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.

9. Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload.

10. Proficiency in business software such as Microsoft Office required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Performs all Essential Job Functions as outlined in Quality and Compliance Auditor I job

description. This includes chart audits and data validation, reporting and submission, and death

record review process.

2. Serves as Preceptor to Quality and Compliance Auditor I

3. Participates in internal and process audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with STA’s policies

and procedures, as well as AATB, AOPO, CMS, FDA, OPTN and state and federal laws as needed.

4. Assists in development of audit plans and schedules.

5. Assists audit team in developing audit reports; presents audit reports to Leadership, as needed.

6. Performs other duties as assigned.
