Accounts Payable Processor

The Accounts Payable Processor will be responsible for handling Finance mail, scanning and routing invoices, and completing payments for processing according to policy and procedures of STA. The Accounts Payable Processor will be responsible for journal entries and reconciliations and various month end. This job function includes answering phone calls, as well as coordinating written correspondence as needed.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
· Processes accounts payable in compliance with policies and procedures
· Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
· Establishing and maintaining relationship with new and existing vendors
· Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
· Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
· Prepares prepaid insurance entry, surgeon fee entry, and other month end entries as needed
· Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry coding for payments
· Responsible for setting up new vendors in accounting system
· Maintains the air charter transportation activity log
· Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
· Comply with national and local financial regulations
· Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Associates degree or equivalent is preferred
· Strong mathematical skills
· Experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable
· Experience with accounting software and online platforms
· Current Driver’s license required
Qualifications and Skills:
· Excellent oral, written, and documentation skills
· Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
· Superb time management skills and detail orientation
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· Ability to develop proficiency in industry-specific software programs
· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Kronos preferred
· Excellent customer service skills are essential
· Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and to represent the organization publicly
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required
· Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload
· Ability to be flexible in a dynamic work environment
· Ability to travel in light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto in order to meet all job duties and responsibilities
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT / WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment and is required to use his/her private automobile in order to meet all the duties and responsibilities of this position.
