Laboratory Technologist
OVERVIEW
Responsible to perform and analyze the results of complex scientific tests on blood and bodily fluids. Analyzes test results and collaborates with laboratory leadership on patient data and reporting. Follows all operating procedures and performs all maintenance on equipment.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution or equivalent directly related experience. Transcript verification required
Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology.
Knowledge of recent developments in the field of medical technology.
Ability to perform assigned tasks according to prescribed procedures and to make accurate observations and records of test results.
Skill in the use of medical laboratory equipment.
Demonstrates analytical thinking.
Must have the ability to provide clear written and oral instruction related to complex processes, communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, and to represent the organization publicly.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
Ability to travel light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto to meet all job duties and responsibilities. Current driver’s license required.
