Family Care Development Specialist
OVERVIEW
The Family Care Development Specialist creates, develops, implements, and conducts all learning and development for Family Care employees. Responsible for developing and providing employees with world-class learning experiences focused on growing and developing competency and performance of staff. Develops systems that maintain and continually improve identified competencies for STA staff. Participates in the full employee experience from orientation, onboarding, and ongoing support and guidance; coordinates and/or provides on-going education activities from internal and external sources.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills.
Keen understanding of adult learning theory and how to create lasting, learning experiences for others.
Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
Three years’ experience in Family Care department providing family care services in an organ procurement organization.
Previous supervisor or preceptor experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing staff.
Must be able to think strategically, be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload.
