Shae Richardson

Director, Donor Optimization

Shae Richardson is the Director of Donor Optimization at STA. In her role, Shae oversees potential organ donor triage, advanced donor management, allocation of organs, and surgical recovery of life-saving organs for transplant. She works closely with other departments to align clinical processes for an efficient and effective flow from the initial referral to the final disposition of an organ to its recipient.

Shae originally joined the STA team in 2017 as an organ recovery coordinator and worked her way up through clinical, operational and managerial roles within the organization. Shae received a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from Midwestern State University and a Master of Science in Leadership from Northeastern University. She holds multiple industry credentials, including a Texas Medical Board State License, Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and CPR for Healthcare Providers. Shae is also a member of the American Association of Respiratory Care and the Texas Society of Respiratory Care.
