Selena Warden
Director, Laboratory Services
Selena Warden is the Director of Laboratory Services at Southwest Transplant Alliance. In her role, she oversees the operations of STA’s full-service laboratory for organ and tissue donors. The laboratory includes a complete clinical lab offering along with, infectious disease testing, HLA typing, microbiology, molecular, and histology.
Selena is a strategic leader with expertise in healthcare, operations, management and planning. She brings nearly 30 years of laboratory and leadership experience to STA, including working for large hospital systems and reference laboratories, managing start-ups and take-over operations, recovering regulatory and financially distressed laboratories, consulting and vendor contracting.
Selena is dedicated to exceptional quality and excels at strategic planning, innovation, regulatory compliance, and developing tactical teams. Selena is also a recognized volunteer inspector for the College of American Pathologists.
Selena received her Master of Science from the University of Florida and her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Additionally, Selena is a certified technologist per the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and is a U.S. Marine.
