Director, Information Technology

Marcolin Eakins is the Director of Information Technology at STA. He directs all aspects of information technology, including strategic IT planning and leadership, enhancing technological capability, and assuring effective IT support throughout the organization. Marcolin currently oversees the capital and operational budgets for IT. Furthermore, he makes recommendations to align resources to maximize IT value and impact, focusing on streamlining and standardizing business processes, addressing organizational needs, supporting STA’s strategic plan, and enabling efficient data-gathering, management, planning, and decision making.

Marcolin is a recognized technology leader known for crafting the requisite strategic vision to achieve business goals. His unique blend of expertise as an executive thought leader, organizational teambuilder, and IT solutions development expert had helped companies achieve more substantial ROI and improve operations. Throughout his 23+ years of experience in guiding IT strategy, operations, and vision for high-profile healthcare organizations, Marcolin has demonstrated a passion for developing and mentoring top talent and serves as a company culture influencer. His focus on aligning technology initiatives with business goals delivers results consistently and substantially improves service delivery, standardization, and performance.

As an ITIL expert, he has developed and delivered management value-added consulting and strategic technology infrastructure solutions for distributed and large-scale data center heterogeneous environments.

Marcolin holds a Master of Business Administration from the Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. He holds multiple certifications related to Information Technology.
