Kelli James

Director, Marketing & Communications

Kelli James is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Southwest Transplant Alliance.

In her role, Kelli leads marketing and communications initiatives for the organization. She provides strategic direction to the team responsible for leading the organization’s PR/media, branding, and messaging efforts. She and her team play an essential role in educating more Texans about the need for donation and inspiring them to join the donor registry. As director, she also oversees the Donor Family Support team who continues to care for donor families after the loss of a loved one through a variety of resources and programs.

Kelli has spent more than a decade in the donation community. Prior to joining STA, she served as the Manager of Community Services at Nevada Donor Network, and as state team leader for Donate Life Nevada. With a background in public health and a career dedicated to working among non-profit organizations, she maintains a deeply rooted passion for the lifesaving mission of donation.

Kelli holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Health with a focus on Human Biology from Western Oregon University.
