Legacy Center RN - PRN

OVERVIEW

Responsible for overseeing and providing bedside care to donors transferred to STA’s Donor Care Unit. Using the nursing process, the RN will assess the donor, identify nursing diagnoses based on responses to current physiology, works closely with Organ Recovery Coordinator to develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluates the donor’s response.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED

1. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Licensed as a Registered Nurse.

2. Minimum of two years of critical care experience. Prior donor care experience in hospital preferred.

3. Must obtain and maintain BLS and ACLS certifications at time of employment.

4. Excellent communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all

levels of personnel and to represent the organization publicly.

5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.

6. Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload.

7. Ability to travel in light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto in order to meet all

job duties and responsibilities. Current Driver’s license required.
