Education Associate
General Statement (Summary of duties & responsibilities): The Education Associate is a generalist role supporting internal training initiatives. Under the direction of the Supervisor, Education and Development, the associate is responsible for the preparation and distribution of educational and informational materials within a highly specialized program. Providing direct support to more than 75% of the organization, this role ensures that STA employees are prepared with the skills and competencies necessary to fulfill the lifesaving mission of organ and tissue donation.
Education and Work Experience Qualifications:
Associate degree and three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description. A combination of formal educational and applicable experience maybe considered in lieu of the mandatory requirements.
Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, or related software necessary to create and maintain all documents.
Working knowledge of office equipment, such as printers and laminators.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
Ability to effectively interpret needs and act as an advocate for the specific department.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required.
Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload.
Ability to travel in light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto in order to meet all job duties and responsibilities. Current Driver’s license required.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides support to the training and education department in their ongoing work to lead more than 250 training sessions each year.
Serves as an ambassador to new employees in their orientation process, primarily concentrating on clinical operations and job specific boot camps. Provides necessary pre-work, custom curriculum and schedules for each employee and any job-related materials to serve them during the clinical onboarding and orientation.
Leads the procurement of supplies and materials in the simulation lab. This includes but is not limited to the tubing, solutions and technologies that exist in the space that simulate a clinical environment. Will support the maintenance of the state-of-the-art simulation lab and SIM Man 3G.
Supports education and training teams in the coordination of skills month, competency assessments, reinforcement trainings and company-wide trainings that are facilitated by in-house resources or partners. 5. Supports the facilitation of training check ins for employees as they work towards independent practice. This includes but is not limited to training plan review and audit process as well as competencies for more than 75% of the organization.
Provides support for the learning management system functions including deployment of job specific training modules: such as corporate compliance, OSHA, and related offerings.
