Supervisor, Tissue Services

OVERVIEW

The Supervisor of Tissue Recovery is responsible for the day-to-day activities of tissue recovery staff and ensures all aspect of the tissue recovery process are in compliance with STA policies and procedures, the standards and regulations as outlined by the FDA and AATB.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge/experience required. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.

  • Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) required within one year of hire in supervisor role.

  • Minimum two (2) years prior supervisory experience.

  • Minimum two (2) years in tissue recovery.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, assign priorities and ensure efforts are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Excellent oral, written and documentation skills. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and to represent the organization publicly.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team required

  • Ability to cope with high levels of stress and able to handle a heavy workload.

  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines.

  • Ability to travel in light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto in order to meet all job duties and responsibilities. Current Driver’s License required.
