Sean Forquer

Director, Recovery Services

Sean Forquer is the Director of Recovery Services at Southwest Transplant Alliance.

In his role, Sean leads a team of clinicians that recover, preserve and package organs and tissues for transplant, research and education. Sean and his team work tirelessly to ensure the safe recovery and preservation of all anatomical gifts to honor the lives and legacies of STA’s donor heroes.

In addition, Sean is tasked with creating and establishing best practices for organ donation and transplantation for STA and improving our processes as new industry techniques emerge. Sean has over a decade of experience working in the organ transplantation and recovery field, with additional experience working in the emergency room. Throughout his career, Sean has had the opportunity to present at several national healthcare conferences on the topics of donor management, critical care medicine and team coordination and training, helping to advance STA’s mission of saving lives through the gift of organ donation.

Sean is nationally certified in Emergency Nursing and Transplant Procurement and is currently pursuing certification as a Transplant Preservationist and Tissue Banking Specialist. He is also a United States Marine Corps veteran and holds a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso.
