How do I find open positions at STA?
You can view information regarding open positions at STA on our Career Opportunities page.
I am already an STA employee, where do I apply?
Current employees can review the internal process via STA’s Intranet.
I am currently a STA volunteer, where do I apply?
All applicants (including volunteers) who are not actively employed with STA, will need to create a candidate profile via the applicant portal.
I was previously employed with STA, is there a different application process for me?
All applicants (including volunteers) who are not actively employed with STA, will need to create a candidate profile via the applicant portal.
Can I apply via email or in person?
STA no longer accepts resumes either via email or in person as an official application. To be considered as an applicant for any position with STA, please complete your candidate profile and apply for your desired role(s) via our candidate portal. STA will make accommodations for requests on a case-by-case basis. Please contact a member of the HR team at 214.522.0255.
Do I have attach a resume to my candidate profile?
A resume is required to complete a candidate profile. You will have the opportunity to upload documents during the application process.
Can I simply create a candidate profile or do I need to apply to a specific job?
In order to view jobs in the applicant system, candidates must complete a candidate profile. Completing a candidate profile is only the first step of the process and the profile is generally not reviewed by recruiters.
Must I repeat my employment history on the application even though I am attaching a resume that has all the information?
Yes, your application is a legal document and is required by man regulatory agencies. Candidates are required to submit all employment related positions (full-time, part-time, contract, and volunteer).
After I submit an application or resume, when should I expect a response?
Normally you will receive an email from Human Resources acknowledging that your application has been received. You may log into your candidate profile and check the status of your application at any time. If you experience technical problems while applying for a position, please contact the Human Resources Associate who is listed as the recruiter of the search for that vacancy.
Can I update my resume once it has been submitted?
Candidates can submit an updated resume to their candidate profile at any time.
Do I have to re-enter my information every time I apply?
Candidates are able to make changes to their candidate profile prior to applying to a new position, if needed. Once updated, your profile will be attached to the desired job requisition.
How often do you update job openings?
An updated listing of staff position vacancies is continuously available on our Career Opportunities page. New career opportunities are added as they become available and existing postings are removed when the position is filled.
How do I know if a job I see posted is still open?
All jobs that appear on the website are still open. However, each posting may be at a different stage of the recruitment process. Job openings are not removed until they are filled.
How do I apply for a position that is not posted? How do I learn about future openings?

If you believe that you are qualified, you may apply for as many different positions as you wish. You will need to submit your candidate profile to the desired job requisition.

How do I reset my password?
Select the Forgot Password option on the Candidate Portal page. An email with instructions to reset your password will be emailed to you.
My account is locked. What can I do to unlock it?

Can I create another profile with a different email address?
If you already have a profile in our system that was initiated by you or someone else, it is not necessary to create a new profile. If you are no longer have access to the previous email address you connected to your candidate profile, contact Human Resources at 214.522.0255 Human Resources (Recruitment) to update your information.
