Faith Borunda is the Senior Director of Regional Operations at Southwest Transplant Alliance. Faith oversees the day-to-day operations of STA’s regional teams including clinical, tissue recovery, family and hospital services. Under her leadership, STA’s regional teams work to maximize and increase organ and tissue donation while cultivating relationships with regional hospitals across Texas and caring for families whose loved ones gave the gift of life through donation.
Prior to her current appointment, Faith was the manager of clinical services in El Paso for two and a half years. Faith brings more than 16 years of experience as a critical care registered nurse at University Medical Center of El Paso where she served as an intensive care nurse in the neonatal, pediatric and adult units.
Faith earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Systems Management and a Certificate in Education from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Faith is certified as a critical care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and a certified procurement transplant coordinator (CPTC). She serves as a member to the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) along with the American Board for Transplant Certifications.
