Sandi Lemons, J.D., M.S., joined Southwest Transplant Alliance in April of 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer, where she oversees the day-to-day operations of one of the largest organ and tissue recovery organizations in the United States.

Prior to joining STA, Lemons was the president and principal consultant of HCI, a Milwaukee-based private consulting firm she founded in 2017.  While there, she was responsible for spearheading strategic and operational initiatives for more than 20 companies, providing clients with consulting services in the health care, manufacturing, distribution, financial services and information technology sectors.  She was responsible for leading strategic and operational initiatives that had a direct impact on the organizations’ positive outcomes.

In addition, Lemons served in several senior executive leadership positions where she utilized her extensive background in mergers, acquisitions, operational efficiencies and people leadership.  Most recently, Lemons served as vice president of Versiti, Inc., a complex healthcare organization in Milwaukee.  At Versiti, she led several functional areas including, facilities, security, marketing, public relations and communications, administration and human resources.

Lemons previously served as the chief executive officer at Heartland Blood Centers where she provided the vision, leadership and day-to-day operational management to this $35 million, nonprofit health care organization.

Lemons earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology from Loyola University in Chicago, her Master of Science in organizational development and leadership from National Louis University in Chicago and her law degree in labor and employment law from Loyola University.

She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Society for Female Executives, Autism Society and Autism Speaks.
