Jo Ann Arias joined STA in 2009 to lead human resources strategy and operations. She is responsible for workforce and performance management, employee relations and retention, and benefits and compensation. Under her leadership, STA’s professional development program was established. Jo Ann serves as a member of the STA’s executive leadership team and is on the organization’s board of director’s personnel committee.

Prior to joining STA, Jo Ann served as the corporate director of human resources for Methodist Health Systems in Dallas, Texas, managing HR functions throughout multiple facilities.

With more than 20 years of HR experience in healthcare, she is a seasoned professional in managing national and international recruitment programs, workforce management. Jo Ann has years of experience coaching and developing employees, and directing employee health and safety programs. She also has a background leading the HR initiatives to open and expand healthcare facilities, and downsize operations.

Jo Ann earned a Bachelor of Business Administration at Texas Women’s University, where she continued to pursue a Masters of Business Administration.

She is a member of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations, the Society of Human Resources Management, and the Dallas-Ft. Worth Hospital Council’s Human Resources Association. Jo Ann also has certifications from Talent+ and Development Dimensions International (DDI).
