As the Director of Tissue Service, Jesse Bravo, MBA, CTBS, CEBT is responsible for the development of tissue operations and for cultivating relationships with tissue partners in STA’s donor service area.
Jesse is credited with developing standard operating procedures within tissue and organ operations. He has also standardized tissue recovery documentation processes, which have reduced documentation errors. Jesse has developed methods for cross functional training for organ and tissue recovery staff, and he has produced cardiovascular training videos. These initiatives led to more efficient operations and significant reductions in costs.
Jesse’s leadership skills and ability to bring teams together have led him to be successful in staff development and creating collaborative team-orientated environments. Jesse enjoys empowering staff, giving them the opportunity to grow, motivating people, and ensuring a work-life balance.
Before joining STA, Jesse was the Manager of Tissue Operations at OneLegacy, the largest OPO in California covering a population of 19 million. He successfully managed more than 2,600 tissue donors annually. At OneLegacy, Jesse conceptualized the mobile platform for its electronic medical records (EMR). He has 22 years of experience in the field of organ, eye and tissue donation and has been recognized for having a can do attitude. His motto is “Let’s do this!”
Jesse has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of California, Riverside and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
He is also a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) and a Certified Eye Bank Technician (CEBT).
